Nokia Network Routing Specialist II (NRS II) Certification
The second Nokia Certification is NRS II Certification. In NRS II Certification, there are three different trainings and four different exams. Three of these Exams are theorical and one of them is practical. Basically, Routing Protocols’s details, MPLS Details and MPLS VPN Services Details are explained in the specific courses of NRS II. NRS II is the Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIP and Huawei HCNP level certification of Nokia. But here, in Nokia Certification, the focus point of Service Provider and MPLS Technologies.
To have Nokia NRS II Certification, from the Beginning Nokia NRS I Certification to Nokia NRS II Certification, you need to pass 5 Exams.
Which Courses do I Need To Get To Have NRS II Certificate?
After NRS I training and exam, for Nokia NRS II Certification, there are three courses and three theorical exams in front of you. After that you need to pass one practical exam. But do not forget, to have this certification, firstly, you need to have NRS I Certification.

In NRS II Trainings and certification period, you will learn the key concepts for a Service Provider that works with MPLS Architecture.
In “Nokia IRP Training”, you will start with Routing Concepts and you will explore Routing Protocols details like OSPF, BGP etc. Beside, you will learn IPv6 details, Route Filtering and Policies.

Which Exams Should I Take to Become NRS II Certified?
To become NRS II Certified, you should take three theorical and one practical exam of Nokia SRC after NRS I Certification Exam. This Nokia NRS II Exams are given below:

The first three exams of Nokia NRS II Certification, are theorical exams and there is no practical configurations required for them. But some theorical configuration commands can be asked.
The last exam is a full practice exam. You will given a topology in the lab and the required configuraion is expected from you for various topologies. In this practical exam, Routing Protocols, MPLS Protocols and MPLS VPN Services Configurations are asked to you.
Here, there is one more specific Nokia exam that combines the three key courses content into one exam. This exam is Nokia NRS II Composite Exam. This exam is generally used for recertification.

What is the Price of NRS II Exams?
The price of each theorical NRS II Exam (Exam 4A0-101, Exam 4A0-103, Exam 4A0-104 ) is 125$. This price is the similar price for all the theorical exams of Nokia SRC. The total cost of three exams is 375$. The Composite Exam (Exam 4A0-C01) is also 375$.
On the other hand, the practical lab exam of NRS II (Exam NRSII4A0) is 725$.
From the Beginning Nokia NRS I Certification to Nokia NRS II Certification, the Total cost of 5 Exams is 875$.
How many Questions Are There in NRS II Exams?
There are 60 Questions in each theorical NRS II Exams (Exam 4A0-101, Exam 4A0-103, Exam 4A0-104). These questions are random questions that are asked from a question pool.
Differently, the Composite Exam (Exam 4A0-C01) has 70 questions.
The number of questions in the NRS II Practical Lab Exam (Exam NRSII4A0) can be different, but the number of these questions will not be as much as the theorical exams.
What is the Duration of the NRS II Exams?
The complete duration of each NRS II Exam is 90 minutes. If you get required trainings for each NRS II Exam and you are ready, this time will be long enough for you.
Differently, the Composite Exam (Exam 4A0-C01) is 120 minutes.
The practical exam duration is 3,5 hours. This time is long enough for your configurations if you have learned how to configure the key concepts in NRS II trainings.
What is the Language of NRS II Exams?
The language of NRS II Exams is only English. To understand and solve the questions correctly, you should know required technical network engish.
What is the Passing Degree for NRS II Exams?
The passing score of any NRS II Exam is %80. This means that you should have at least 48 true answers from 60 questions to pass an NRS II Exam.
How Can I Take NRS II Exams?
When you are ready, you can schedule your NRS II Exam from a valid Exam Center and you can take NRS II Exam. For computer based Nokia exams, you can use the global exam partner, Pearson VUE. To schedule your exam from a valid exam center, you can use Pearson VUE’s Website.
How Will I Get my NRS II Certificate?
After completing the exam, your score will appear on the exam computer. In the screen your score and the result will be showed. If you pass the exam, this result will sent to Nokia in a couple of weeks and after a while your certifications will be sent to you. After that you can paste your blue passed certification squares to the certification progress sheet.
How Long Does NRS II Certification Valid?
NRS II Certification is valid for 3 years. In these 3 years, you can have further SRC trainings and take other exams. But after 3 years, if you do not pass any further SRC exam during this period, you need to recertify by taking the exam again. Here, to recertify yourself, you can take Nokia NRS II Composite Exam (Exam 4A0-C01). This is a quick way of recertification.
