Nokia 7450 ESS (Ethernet Service Switch) Family is the high capacity Multi Layer Switch Family that are mainly used in Backbone Networks of various Service Providers. There are various members of 7450 SR Family. Each of these has different capability and capacity. The two of them is given below:
• Nokia 7450 ESS-7
• Nokia 7450 ESS-12
Beside these gih capacity Multi Layer Switches, Nokia has very strong Service Router Families like Nokia 7750 SR and Nokia 7950 XRS.

Nokia 7450 ESS-7 has 7 slots. It has 2 slots are redundant SF/CPM and the other 5 slots are IOMs. Nokia 7450 ESS-7 has 2 Tb/s Half-Duplex Redundant Switching Capacity. Each Slot has 200 Gb/s Full-Duplex Redundant Slot Capacity.
Nokia 7450 ESS-12 has 7 slots. It has 2 slots are redundant SF/CPM and the other 10 slots are IOMs. Nokia 7450 ESS-12 has 4 Tb/s Half-Duplex Redundant Switching Capacity. Each Slot has 200 Gb/s Full-Duplex Redundant Slot Capacity.
